Hello world. 

The name circumviso translates literally to "I look around," which is an apt title for both this blog and for the author.  There is an unfortunate, though understandable (and eminently monetizable) tendency for modern long form content spaces to be focused.  This blog, however, will remain true to its name.  Instead of saying "come here for my fiction, there for my writing about the current state of AI, this corner for my academic research, and these other places for book reviews, or recipes, or observations from travels, or the excitement of raising a child through all the rest", I will put everything here and tag accordingly.
